2008 Nottingham Girls Polo Calendar

Polistas of Mayfair hosted another smashing night, this time heralding the launch of the 2008 Nottingham University Girls Nude Polo Calendar, on Friday.

The hot Pimms relentlessly flowed through all three floors of the Polo outfitters where crowds gathered. It was brilliant to see the Burlington Arcade shop thronging with atmosphere as the girls posed for photos, signed copies and encouraged passers-by to purchase a calendar for charity.

This year (for 2008) it was shot by celebrity photographer David Brook. As calendar girl and PR rep for the project Tory Lyne-Perkis put it: "David Brook who can now add 16 naked polo players to his portfolio alongside the likes of Natalie Portmand and Jude Law."

Not only will portions of the proceeds go to the SUPA (Schools and University Polo Association), but to the Kids First charity. Founded in 1991, SUPA has an objective to promote and develop schools and universities polo development and act as a central point for advice and encouragement. They also organise tournaments and teams throughout the UK, and subsidise the costs of getting into the game, making polo accessible to more students.

The prospect of attending an all-girl naked calendar launch, with all but one of the models present, and with the promise of possible nudity on the night is every chap's dream, and certainly up there with playing Polo with Roddy Williams. The feedback from every red-blooded male in the building was overwhelmingly positive, and probably contributed to sell out of the calendar.

The question on the lips of regulars and Polistas enthusiasts was "Where's Johnny?". Absent from the fun and frolics of the evening, Polistas' Founder and Managing Director Johnny Lynne couldn't have missed a better night at his Mayfair shop. Sadly for Johnny, he was is Dubai playing polo and getting ready for Dubai's first Polistas store.

The calendar is fantastic, and will make for a great Christmas gift this year. You can purchase your copy from Polistas in store or online.
